SB Nation partners with Sei Less to celebrate 2025 NBA Draft with ‘On The Clock’ party in NYC

With the help of partners at Don Julio Tequila, Corona, and Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies, Vox Media and SB Nation had a blast on the eve of the NBA Draft with the “On The Clock” party at Sei Less in New York City’s Garment District on Tuesday night.

The Asian fusion restaurant — which has become a premier destination for athletes and hip-hop artists — was packed with VIPs, former NBA players, influencers and other celebrities. The spectacular event at Sei Less brought together cultural tastemakers in basketball with awesome brand activations.

The main bar — stocked with ice cold Corona Extra and a variety of spirits from Don Julio — offered three signature cocktails. The Anejo Manhattan featured Don Julio Anejo, the Reposado Margarita included Don Julio Reposado, and the Spicy Margarita highlighted Don Julio Blanco.

But that wasn’t all that Don Julio offered at Sei Less. Once patrons secured a special key, they could make their way into the 1942 Room, a speakeasy located under the Sei Less stairwell. There, partygoers were treated to Don Julio 1942 served neat or on the rocks, or in the 42 Rob Roy cocktail.

After guests worked up a sweat from dancing and mingling, they could escape to the Corona VIP Section, where a custom bar embraced the beer’s “La Playa Awaits” beach vibes and served up Corona Extra, Corona Light and Corona Non-Alcoholic. Whether drinking from a bottle or a can, drinks were kept cool with Corona koozies, and partiers also picked up Corona-branded bottle openers, necklaces and lip balm.

A big attraction for patrons was the Shaq-A-Licious Drip Lounge, which emulated the tunnel walk vibe that many NBA and WNBA players do before every game. Folks first made their way to the Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies swag table, which featured bags, hats, shirts, custom jewelry and — of course — a variety of Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies. Guests then walked through the illuminated tunnel to pose for photos and videos in their newly acquired bling.

The party also featured delicious hand-passed bites from Sei Less, such as the chicken satay with signature peanut sauce, and tunes from a DJ that favored 1990s hip-hop.

Among the VIPs that showed up was Greg Oden, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, and Def Jam recording artist LiAngelo Ball. Other guests included Jim Jones, Fabolous, Benny the Butcher, Dave East, former NBA player Josh Richardson, current NBA prospect Sion James, Idriss Alison-Konteh, Franklin Session, Annalise Azadian, Joshua Thompson, Trev Mulah, Maria Clifton, Maximo Beras, Rich-P, and Walibel Torres.
